Appointments
* To schedule an appointment, please call the number above -or- send me a message through my HIPAA compliant email service. The quickest way to reach me is through email. If you left a voicemail but have not heard back from me within 24 hours, please contact me, again. Sometimes, a voicemail does not come in clearly and I can not make out what the caller has said in their message. [If you are having a psychiatric emergency, please go directly to my "Crisis Numbers" page for resources, call 911, or go to your local ER for immediate care.]
* I am currently providing day time only appointments that are in person or through tele-health. My evening appointments (4:30PM and 5:30PM) are only through tele-health. I utilize Doxy Me as my video platform. You do not need to download any special apps since I will send you a link to enter the appointment but you will need a private space to talk, an internet connection and a device that allows for video calls.
*I have early afternoon and early evening hours available Monday through Friday. My earliest appointments are 10:30 AM and my latest appointment time is 5:30PM. Due to limited evening hours, initial appointments will be scheduled between 10:30 AM to 1:30PM and then you may schedule a later follow up appointment if you prefer. I sometimes offer later initial appointments if I have had cancellations. Due to the demand for evening appointments, I tend to have more availability for early afternoon times.
* After we have scheduled our initial appointment, I will send you a patient portal link where you will be able to conveniently complete all of your paperwork online through my HIPAA compliant software. Once you create your account, you will be able to update your information, choose how you wish to receive appointment reminders and send me confidential messages through the system.

Insurance
I accept the following insurance plans: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and John's Hopkins Healthcare. I will submit the billing to your insurance company. You will be responsible for your deductible, if you have one, and copay. If you do not know if you have a copay or deductible, please call your insurance plan to clarify what they will cover.
Self-Pay & Good Faith Estimate
If you choose to not use your insurance and want to pay out-of-pocket, you will be provided with a "Good Faith Estimate". My prices are comparable to most insurance plan reimbursement rates as well as rates charged by other local mental health providers.
Unlike physical health appointments, I can not provide you with the exact amount of sessions that you will need because psychotherapy is based not only on diagnosis but also the individual's experience (i.e. their ability to fully share their thoughts and feelings in session, to practice the strategies discussed and environmental factors that may create more challenges for the client to achieve their goal). The frequency of appointments are based on a client's symptoms and personal request. Individuals experiencing symptoms that are at higher risk for self-harm or suicide are seen weekly to start and will eventually move to less frequency when their symptoms improve. Most people are seen on a biweekly basis, which would result in two appointments per month.
